Dr. Strand brings over 29 years of experience to Northern Nevada Plastic Surgery. He holds the distinct title as Chief of Surgical Services for St. Mary’s Hospital. Dr. Strand is also a clinical professor of surgery at the University of Nevada, Reno. He is a trusted name in plastic surgery in Northern Nevada.

Dr. Strand is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and a member of both the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. After graduating with a medical degree from the University of Illinois, he completed his plastic surgery training at the University of Wisconsin. He went on to complete a fellowship in hand surgery at Northwestern University.

Dr. Strand is committed to providing the finest in cosmetic surgery to improve and enhance the appearance of his patients. He specializes in surgery of the breast including breast enlargement, breast lift, and breast reduction. Dr. Strand also specializes in reconstruction of the breast following breast cancer. He has extensive experience with both implant reconstruction and the use of your body’s own tissue in the form of flaps to reconstruct a natural appearing breast. Dr. Strand’s extensive practice also includes liposuction, laser resurfacing, abdominoplasty, ear surgery, and facial rejuvenation.

For over ten years, Dr. Murphy has been providing his patients with surgical excellence in a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere. Dr. Murphy was born and raised in Reno. Dr. Murphy received his medical degree from the University of Nevada School of Medicine. He went on to complete his general surgery training at Swedish Medical Center in Seattle, Washington. He received his plastic surgery training at Wake Forest University at Baptist Medical Center in North Carolina. Dr. Murphy is a board certified plastic surgeon with the American Board of Plastic Surgery, and a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.

Dr. Murphy currently has one of the busiest and most respected cosmetic and reconstructive practices in Northern Nevada. Dr. Murphy’s easy-going bedside manner allows his patients to feel at ease enough to relay their desires and ask any questions about the procedures. Dr. Murphy takes the time to listen to his patients, discuss their concerns, and alleviate their fears about cosmetic surgery.

Dr. Murphy specializes in breast surgery, providing superior results in both cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the breast. He performs more breast augmentations than any other surgery. He provides a wide array of other cosmetic surgeries including: liposuction, abdominoplasty, facial rejuvenation, laser resurfacing, eyelid surgery, rhinoplasty, ear surgery, and post-bariatric surgery. Dr. Murphy also maintains an active reconstructive practice. He performs the majority of cleft lip and palate surgeries in Northern Nevada and is an expert in facial reconstruction for patients injured in accidents.
