Meet Dr. Sylora
Dr. Roxanne L. Sylora’s special interests include breast surgery (augmentation, mastopexy (lift), reduction, or reconstruction) and body contouring procedures (liposuction, abdominoplasty or lower body lifts). She is certified by The American Board of Plastic Surgery.
Dr. Sylora is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at Wayne State University School of Medicine, where she teaches plastic surgery residents. She has privileges at the Detroit Medical Center (Harper University Hospital, Detroit Receiving Hospital, Sinai-Grace Hospital, Huron-Valley Hospital, and Children’s Hospital of Michigan) and is currently a member of the American Medical Association and the Association of Women Surgeons.
Dr. Sylora has participated in research work that has been presented at regional and national meetings, as well as published in scientific journals.
Dr. Sylora graduated from the University of Illinois Medical School, and began general surgery training at Mt. Sinai Hospital in Chicago. She completed her plastic surgery residency at Wayne State University School of Medicine. She then completed a breast and aesthetic (cosmetic) fellowhip at The Institute for Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery at Baptist Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee.
